Jonathan Taylor

Principal

Jonathan is an experienced school Principal, having led schools in the UK, China and Switzerland. He is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and holds both an MBA and a Masters in Educational Leadership. He is a regular writer and speaker on the topic of education and is a guest lecturer at UCL’s Institute of Education, the world’s number one ranked Education Faculty.  Jonathan is a firm believer in evidence led approaches to teaching and leadership; only by engaging in critical self-reflection can schools enable all pupils to fulfil their true potential.

Stefano Melani

CEO, Italy (INSPIRED EDUCATION)

Stefano joined Inspired as Italy CEO in January 2025. With nearly 20 years of expertise in driving operational excellence and outstanding customer experience, Stefano has built a notable international career based on his distinctive leadership style. Stefano began his journey in management consultancy at one of Italy’s top strategy firms before joining the renowned Italian multinational,  EssilorLuxottica, where he spent 13 years in pivotal senior leadership roles, living between the UK and Italy. Most recently, he served as their General Manager for Northern Europe, one of the company’s major global markets. Stefano holds a Master of Science in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano.

Iain Sachdev

Education Director (INSPIRED EDUCATION)

Iain joined Inspired’s International School of Milan in 2005 and, following two decades of working in a variety of roles with the group’s International Baccalaureate schools in Italy and globally, is currently Education Director for Inspired Education. Iain grew up in the UK and was educated at University College London and the University of Bath, initially training as a Business and Economics teacher. Whilst working in the UK, he won the Mayor of London’s Business Excellence Award for his work with youth. He subsequently led INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF MONZA® through the pandemic. During that time, the school received much attention from the global press for its innovative approaches and rapid responses to a new educational landscape. He co-founded and co-chaired the Global Issues Network, part of his commitment to education for global citizenship education and youth empowerment, which also paved the way to collaboration on curriculum development with the International Baccalaureate.
